The book explains how to use Excel 2013 simply, but fully. I am taking it as a college student for certification - required for accounting majors. After written descriptions of the different ways to use Excel 2013, there are a number of projects that incorporate and allow for the practice of what was just learned. The projects include 2 or 3 different methods to accomplish different tasks in Workbooks/Worksheets. The book is easy to follow and makes it easy to learn Excel 2013.

When my package arrived it was packaged very well. Impressive even. When I opened the package I was disappointed at the condition. I would expect when paying the price for a book of $100.00 and up it should not be a dog eared book. That was a disappointment, I have to iron the book to get the front cover too be straight, and quite a few pages.

I feel if there is any damage at all to the book. The seller should not advertise anything other than good condition. And should not charge top dollar for a book in this condition.

Awesome book and a must have for non-business people.

Marc's book Case and Point was recommended to me by many, many consultants at top level companys. So far, I have found the book to be very clear and hugely useful for a non-business (i.e. scientist) person to get acquainted with the world of consulting. I am looking forward to using this book as my core resource for preparing for my interviews this fall, and would recommend anyone interesting in consulting to give this a read. I have also signed up for Marc's online material, [...], for additional practice and learning materials. I have found the practice cases to be extremely useful.

While the content is worthwhile, I found a ridiculous amount of typos for a book that is in its 9th edition. Many typos in every chapter, including in the sample cases. It really takes away from the book and makes for a frustrating read.

This was the 9th edition. I bought it thinking this will be better than the previous one but it had many typos and missing references. E.g. A case might be given and then a reference provided for the solution at a later page. But when you go to that page the solution isn't there. Probably they missed reformatting the book correctly. Other than that, the book was alright. The standard introductory case prep as it claims to be.

About the Author
Bruno Sarmento is an Affiliated Investigator at the INEB-Instituto de Engenharia Biomédica, based at the University of Porto, Portugal and is Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at ISCS-N, Gandra, Portugal. His current research is focused on the study of nanomedicines and their application in the pharmaceutical and biomedical fields, as well as the use of in vitro cell models as a tool to correlate the transport of biopharmaceuticals and nanoparticles across human mucosa. Bruno has been involved with more than two hundred publications, including three edited books in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology and Nanomedicine, more than one hundred papers in international peer-review journals and several conference proceedings. He also serves as an editorial board member for several international journals and an evaluator of research projects form international agencies. He is an active member of several international associations (AAPS, CRS, EUFEPS, EFSD, FIP) and works on biotechnology and health post-graduate programs at national and international level.

About the Author
Paul Dowson has a business background and gained his MBA from the University of Leeds in 1992. To pursue his interest in teaching he joined Leeds Metropolitan University in 2002 where he lectured in the area of Personal Development for ten years. In 2005 he developed with Engage Mutual Assurance ‘LifePlan’, an innovative Corporate Responsibility (CR) programme aimed at defining personal and professional pathways for adults of all ages. From 2007 to 2012 Paul was a Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Global Ethics and working with Prof Simon Robinson developed the Responsible Engagement programme which sought to build student identity around taking responsibility for self, other and global concerns; as well as introducing students to Corporate Responsibility.

the CD doesn't match the book listening exercises..

The CD is ONLY for Windows XP or Vista.. and when I finally found a computer where I could play it (which was hard to find cause that's old software), it happens that it doesn't match with the book exercises. I was expecting to get on the cd the listening parts related to the book... it doesn't have them!!!!! now where can I get them? This was very dissapointing cause I bought the option with CD expecting just that, so I could work it on my classes.

Andy Crestodina is a cofounder and the strategic director of Orbit Media Studios, an award-winning web design company, which has completed more than 1,000 successful website projects. He is a top-rated speaker at national conferences who is dedicated to the teaching of marketing. His favorite topics include search engine optimization, social media, analytics, and content strategy. He has written more than 100 articles on content marketing topics. He lives in Chicago.

The cover of Content Chemistry tells you it's an "illustrated handbook" for content marketing. I was skeptical at first but it didn't take me long to appreciate the value of illustrating how content marketing and strategy works. If you're looking for a book that shows--not just tells--you how to engage in effective content marketing, this is the one to get!

When it comes to outlining an effective content strategy, Andy Crestodina and Content Chemistry take a backseat to no one. This book contains an incredible amount of actionable steps that will keep you and your content team busy for months and years.

The illustrated aspect of Content Chemistry is an added bonus. Yes, this adds color and flare to what are typically boring black and white books, but the illustrations do a great job of helping you visualize the strategy and data rather than forcing you to make your imagination work for you.

The book is broken down into two main parts: Lecture and Lab. The lecture, which when included with the introduction comprises 1/3 of the book, gives you the big picture understanding of content marketing. The second 2/3 of the book is the hands-on, implementatble strategy.

Content Chemistry is a must-read for any content strategist, regardless of how experienced or knowledgeable. Everyone is sure to find something here that they are currently not doing or not doing well, and can add more to their web marketing arsenal.
